Prototype Accelerator Containment Vessel
What is it? G.E.A.R.S. has many great minds within its halls and they are always pushing the boundaries of what's possible. They came up with a new type of particle accelerator, one that when placed into a vehicle granted it some amazing effects. Upon seeing what it could do in a lesser mecha, the students built this containment vessel specifically designed with combat in mind. It uses the various exotic particles that the accelerator constantly creates to recover energy and keep you in a fight, as well as increasing your combat potential and greatly increasing your chances of winning. The core even has a small chance to create and utilize an as-yet-unnamed particle (only discovered and harnessed by one other, to make the Ubertron). These particles will swap with those in your foe, swapping your HP and EP! The pitfalls discovered in the creation of the Ubertron, however, caused them to come up with a safety mechanism. Upon detection of creation of these particles and the swap with your foe, a safety system will engage and recover a portion of your HP and EP - keeping you in the fight!
This prototype accelerator may never see widespread use because of how dangerous it could be if it winds up in the wrong hands. However, YOU have been chosen by the scientists at G.E.A.R.S. to use this one because of everything you have accomplished! Will you be able to use it to its peak potential and show how powerful it can be?
What does it do? Levels with you to 100, and:
FA - Charged Particle Blaster CD 3 - Hit 1: 30% damage, heals 50% of the damage of the hit as HP. - Hit 2: 40% damage, heals 50% of the damage of the hit as EP. - Hit 3: 50% damage, heals 50% of the damage of the hit as both HP and EP.
BA - Overclocked Force Blade CD 3 120% damage. - Inflicts a 2x HP and EP, 3 turn DoT effect. - If the enemy is Equippable will disable enemy HD weapon.
FS - Collision Launcher CD 1 110% damage. - Nerfs enemy Defense by -55 for 2 turns.
BS - Disruption Particle Launcher CD 2 120% damage. Nerfs enemy Boost by -45 for 2 turns.
HD - Particle Field Generator CD 99 100% damage. - Prevents enemy EP regen for 3 turns. - Buffs Boost by 30 for 75 turns. - Buffs Bonus by 25 for 75 turns.
BD - Particle Accelerator Drive CD 5 - Hit 1: 50% damage, with 100% chance to crit. If this hit connects will lower enemy ImmoRes by -100. - Hit 2: 50% damage, attempts to stun at current ImmoRes. - 4% chance for hit 2 to swap HP and EP values with your foe and then heal 15% of your max HP and EP.
Greetings! Many of you have been asking what we had planned for the next big storyline and now you all can find out! You can access the new quest, which will begin the brand new main storyline, in Soluna Main right now! Right now you'll be able to access it without having to play "The End", the end of the previous main storyline, but that will change in two weeks. If you haven't completed the ending, which includes the conclusion of the biggest war against the Shadowscythe ever, you really should first as this new quest might be a bit confusing if you haven't. There's also a limited time reward if you complete the quest now. There's a brand new mecha drawn and animated by Minar!
After this week it'll be replaced with a new mecha created by Lyris with a few additions by myself. The mecha by Lyris and I will be around permanently though as the reward from this quest. Make sure to be careful when attempting the quest, the enemy inside has resistances to 2 damage types as well as the ability to gain additional resistances as you battle against him. This'll be a really tough fight if you aren't careful! This quest is only possible thanks to the entire team. We all spent months planning and coming up with ideas, especially for the new main villian. I wrote and built the quest but Maegwyn, Lyris, Gianna, Minar, and everyone else on the team contributed so much to get this ready. This storyline is going to have you exploring all over as time goes on, to planets and places in the universe you haven't seen yet. It's going to be a wild ride and I hope you'll keep checking back to see how crazy it gets! I also want to take a second and thank all of you, the players. Without you we wouldn't have anyone to make this content for. Your support and feedback is what makes us that much more excited to do things every week. The amount of support recently for MechQuest made me work extra hard on this quest to show you all that we're going to continue to put out the best content we can for you guys. Greetings! As the whole MQ team is now aware it's dangerous to let me write stuff for releases. I volunteered to work on this release and wrote a script. All of us had a bunch of ideas and I tried to put as many of them into this. It had a LOT of stuff in it, like a LOT of new art stuff that had to be made and bunches of dialog. Lyris did an amazing job on the new backgrounds and some of the assets and Plasma worked on something cool for the second part. Mae also deserves major props for spending a LOT of time making the rest of the backgrounds and art assets and especially for building the whole quest and making it work. (Thanks again Mae!) Part 1 is live now and Part 2 will be out as soon as it's ready.

Head: CD=5 - BtH NoT, -7 (8,10) per turn- damage BoT, +5 (6,7) per turn- immores decrease 50 (60,70) for 5 turns---> tries to stun every turn, roll 30 (40,50) every turn
BA: CD=3 - 1x (1.5x, 2x) HP DoT FA: CD=3 - damage NoT, -7 (8,10)per turn- damages also EP with 25% of damage done BS: CD=0 - damage buff (weapon only) +10 (15,25%), caps at 200% FS: CD=3 - 1x (1.5x, 2x) EP DoT- heals EP with 50% of damage done Body: CD=5 - immores buff +100- defense BoT + 7(8,10) per turn- buffs DoT by +15(25,40%) per turn til end of fight, caps at 200% It's available from the opening of the new quest so go check it out! There were a few bugs when it initially came out but Vivi came in and helped squash the body bugs for me and I was able to fix most of the restof them this morning. Some of you remember that other mech that came out at the same time as the 4pril.Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about it. It will be out...soon. Can it really be 5 years ago today that we first entered the Dropship in our journey to Soluna City on Planet Loreon? Seems impossible that it could have been that long ago! And we've been traveling all over the universe since then, exploring new planets and gaining more allies against the Shadowscythe hordes that are threatening worlds everywhere! Thanks to all of you for your support, contributions, feedback, suggestions, and friendship! It's been wonderful getting to know so many of you on the forums, on facebook, on Twitter, and even in person at Dragon*Con over the years!
Anniversary Mecha: This year, Jemini gave us a redesigned "Wrapped" Nubertron - it does have the Nuberizing special on the head along with tons of new specials for 3012! I heard on Twitter that one player would have liked us to show details of it being wrapped - you'll just have to imagine the bigger-than-mecha-sized Wrapping Station - and them being wrapped, as @JeffTechnoWizAQ said, "by.. uh giant hands? Robot hands?!" If you use Nova Gems, you can get one that levels with you (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50). Star Captains can merge the Newbatron with Golden Tokens for the SC models, and everyone can use Silver Tokens for the merge to the non-Star Captain credits versions. (I accidentally made the non-Star Captain merge using Golden Tokens at first but I fixed it.)
For Star Captains: Minar made some new Starship Items and I updated a few myself as well with this year's date, & put a new title next to the yearbook - plus I made you a Wrapped Nubertron Action Figure.
Gremlins: We got a report that everyone in the party - including the girls - has had the male hairstyle every time there's been a slumber party - which I somehow never noticed! I figured out to fix that, and I'm just working on some updates to the dialogue to reflect some of the highlights of the 3011 - 3012 season. I'll roll that out in a few minutes but I wanted to come back & finish writing you these notes first while it's still October 1st. Thanks, as always, for letting us know what needs fixing!
