Once you have recovered all 7, talk to Artix to merge them into the Omni Artifact!
Battle through Delta V to recover Titan's Coffee Mug!
Battle opponents in 1v1 and 2v2 matches, then take on the boss to gather the shards of Titan's cosmic coffee mug!
Artix has been cursed, and is stalking the wilds with the ShadowFire Axe of Curses!
Use the Battle Monsters button to hunt for Artix and the ShadowFire Axe of Curses!
Defeat him to unlock a shop to get the Axe for yourself!
Capture Thok with the Cursed Phoenix Blade... if you DARE!
Battle, defeat, and possess Thok and his Cursed Phoenix Blade using the Battle Monsters button!
Enter the Wastelands to find a scrap of the Mysterious Necromancer's cloak!
Look in your Book of Lore to find directions to the Wasteland.
Complete the quest there to find the cloak!
The 12th anniversary event is heating up... and so is Hottica's zone!
Head to Hottica's zone and battle the Igneos, Rhyolite, Dacite, and Andesite monsters for a chance to find Hottica's Cursed Shield!
After you've recovered all the artifacts listed above:
Head to the Portal Site and log into your Master Account. Go to the Quests tab to check your event progress. You are looking for 7 green checkmarks. If a game is not checked off, you have not found the artifact in that game.
If you DO have all 7 checkmarks, you'll see a box appear saying "Congratulations! You have found all the cursed artifacts!"
Click the link that says "Click here to get your prizes!" and you will go to your Achievements tab. You should see "Artix Entertainment 12th Birthday Event" achievement under "What's New?"
Click that to get your prize code, then go to the "Redeem Codes" page to unlock the OmniKnight Blade in each game!

Greetings! Many of you have been asking what we had planned for the next big storyline and now you all can find out! You can access the new quest, which will begin the brand new main storyline, in Soluna Main right now! Right now you'll be able to access it without having to play "The End", the end of the previous main storyline, but that will change in two weeks. If you haven't completed the ending, which includes the conclusion of the biggest war against the Shadowscythe ever, you really should first as this new quest might be a bit confusing if you haven't. There's also a limited time reward if you complete the quest now. There's a brand new mecha drawn and animated by Minar!
After this week it'll be replaced with a new mecha created by Lyris with a few additions by myself. The mecha by Lyris and I will be around permanently though as the reward from this quest. Make sure to be careful when attempting the quest, the enemy inside has resistances to 2 damage types as well as the ability to gain additional resistances as you battle against him. This'll be a really tough fight if you aren't careful! This quest is only possible thanks to the entire team. We all spent months planning and coming up with ideas, especially for the new main villian. I wrote and built the quest but Maegwyn, Lyris, Gianna, Minar, and everyone else on the team contributed so much to get this ready. This storyline is going to have you exploring all over as time goes on, to planets and places in the universe you haven't seen yet. It's going to be a wild ride and I hope you'll keep checking back to see how crazy it gets! I also want to take a second and thank all of you, the players. Without you we wouldn't have anyone to make this content for. Your support and feedback is what makes us that much more excited to do things every week. The amount of support recently for MechQuest made me work extra hard on this quest to show you all that we're going to continue to put out the best content we can for you guys. In honor of the occasion we are bringing you updated Anniversary-themed items that you can pick up downstairs at the party by riding the Floorivator at Tek's Mechs. The Pajama/Cake party (accessible via the GEARS Parties button) has an updated dialogue reflecting on some of the events of the past year.
Coinciding with the anniversary, this release also brings a change to stat training. You still get 5 points per level to spend - 6 if you upgrade to Star Captain - but now you can train them faster. You can now train 10 points per session - and 20 if you are a Star Captain!
Star Captains may now get an item for your starships that essentially turns stat training into an "online course." Instead of having to battle a bazillion times to retrain your stats, you just allocate 20 points and press the "Train" button. Bazinga! No more marathon sessions required just to change your build. Pick yours up today at the button in Soluna City Main!

Anything about loading being stuck on the loading screen isn't a bug. Thats the result of us joining with the DF servers if I understand things correctly. To fix this they need to clear cache and relog. We're getting a lot of those bug reports and they can't be fixed.
I will let Captain Rhubarb know that we're getting a lot of these reports and will see whether he can do some kind of magic to improve this issue. For now, please just try clearing your cache and logging in again if it happens to you - and sorry for the inconvenience!

In case you didn't know, Lyris and Ash conspired to build me a birthday mecha! You'll find it in the Soluna City Main shop. From what I hear, Lyris had a concept for the specials design after she arted & animated the mecha, and Ash coded it. What a great surprise! Here's the rundown:

Greetings! Just wanted to stop in and let you know about a couple of things that'll be happening this week.
First off, the Traveler will be leaving to parts unknown this Friday. No one really knows when he'll return so if you want any of his items make sure to get this before Friday evening!
Next, the Chaos Mecha and Items will be moving to the Event screen. You can get there by clicking the Shops button, it's next to the travel button on that bottom bar, and then clicking the "Event" button with the clock picture up at the top. This is also where the free Golden Mecha are, so you can pick one of those up as well. I didn't want anyone to think the Chaos stuff just dissappeared!
For the release this week we'll have another quest in the Beard chain! The idea for the whole chain was thought up by Blade and ACW0, so if you like it make sure to let them know! Blade even made a beardy head weapon for this weeks release!
I'm able to do quests pretty well now so I'm trying to finish this up for you guys. It's a really cool story and one that's both funny and interesting. Once it's all wrapped up I'll work on the second half of the "Going Gray???" event! See you Friday!

The Haliaeetus mecha has all NEW art by Minar and specials designed by Blues, and Vivi! It's in Soluna Main in the Holiday Shop on the sidebar. It'll only be here this weekend though! The art will probably return in the future, but specials won't come back in later years.
What's a "Haliaeetus?" Well, it's one of the most-recognizable eagle species. It ties in to the United States of America Fourth of July celebrations. And to think, I never would have known this if we hadn't already made an Eagle mecha model in the past! I love finding new and obscure bits of knowledge when researching - a friend of mine calls this "Research Rapture." Have you ever experienced research rapture, where you are led further and further off track from the original line of inquiry? This particular research line didn't veer at all. YET. But I digress...

Greetings! This week we have a somewhat larger release, at least it feels that way to me. Hah!
Last week I was talking to Mae about what we could do to give you all something larger than normal. I came up with the idea to do something for our players who have done everything in the storyline already and wanted something extra. This turned into something larger than I had planned and it pushed me farther than I've gone in a while.
Tonight we have an addition to Planet 51. It's a series of fights that you can access after you've beaten the current 51, finished Yokai, AND finished Necryptos. Once you've done all that you can use the button that shows up on Korin's list.
This has several fights, most chosen by players when I asked, as well as one final fight that I came up with myself. It will take a little thought and strategy to beat a couple of them, but if you can it'll be worth it.
I also did some updates to the old Planet 51 rewards that you'll find in the Arm reward shop once you win. There's also some new stuff too that I came up with just for this. Some of the rewards are hints about something I'm cooking up personally and something in particular gives a hint at where the storyline is going next. You might have to talk to someone once you win to find out what that is though.
I hope you enjoy it and I'm very thankful to Mae for letting me go all crazy and do this. Make sure to let me know on the forums what you think of the fights and the rewards!

Greetings! Something I've wanted to do for a while now was get back to doing the monthly SC release. I'm going to be doing something each month now, maybe not a mech each time but something to thank you guys for your support. This month Blues and I wanted to do something really special to kick it off, so we decided on doing the very first SCEM, the Strider. We didn't want to just copy the old one with nothing changed so Blues re-statted it as an offensive mech with a LOT of firepower.
Strider-P FA/BA - CD= 1
Each use buffs damage by 25%, either arm. Caps at 200%
Applies a 1.5x HP and EP DoT, either arm. Every additional use of either arm buffs the DoTs by .5x. Caps at 4x.
FS/BS - CD=3
Hit 1: 25% damage
Hit 2: 35% damage - Damages enemy EP with hit's damage.
Hit 3: 45% damage
Hit 4: 55% damage - 15% chance to heal 50% of hit's damage.
Hd - CD=5
Self Boost BoT, +10, per turn, for 4 turns.
+25 BtH for 4 turns.
Enemy Boost NoT, -7, per turn, for 5 turns.
Bd - CD=4
Hit 1: 20% damage, (if hit hits) Nerf enemy immo res by -30.

Gianna Glow had a birthday this week! Plasma Charge put together a magical energy blade for the occasion. Wear the Ninja outfit to unlock the magic attack. There's also a special "blooper" version for Star Captains called GG's Little Ankle Biter. The original positioning of the magic attack was a bit off and it made me laugh; Ash made an extra one so we could share the laughter. Happy birthday, Gigi!
Ash has re-colored and reworked a mecha with new specials for Memorial Day. There will be multiple color schemes and all models will have the same specials. Greetings! This week I worked on getting a bunch of the bugs that were around, and that you all reported recently, fixed. There were a bunch, and I can't mention all of them, but to sum up everything. - A bunch of typos. - Item bugs. - Mech bugs - Travel Map bug - Romero quest bug
I also have a hunt tonight for you all for a new type of mod. These still boost stats but they boost a different set then you all usually see. I'm working on seeing about putting extra effects on new mods for some true passive effects but for now I wanted to put these out. What better way to do that then a hunt through the game! I'm hiding the mods in a shop and the following is your clue.

Well this is embarrassing... there's a critical issue with the Maypril quest involving cutscenes and player positioning that makes it unplayable and that has taken me way too long to sort out. So things remain color-faded until further notice. Which shouldn't be too much longer. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans... mmm scrambled eggs! It'll end up being better than it would have been.
We're laying the groundwork for some great new features and continuing to plan ahead for a very exciting set of releases while we work on bugfixing. I am so excited about all of this coming together for you!

Greetings! Some of you mentioned that you weren't fans of the way the 4pri1 mech worked, so we took that into consideration for the Maypril mech. Blues and I talked about a few things and we came up with the following for this year.
FA CD=3 Inflicts a 1x(1.5x/2x) HP DoT Chance to inflict a x2(2.5x/3x) HP DoT instead.
BA CD=3 Deals increased damage on hit. Amount is random. 3 turn increasing Defense nerf over time effect. -8(-9/-10) per turn. (-8 -> -16 -> -24 -> expired)
FS CD=4 Crit chance increase 4 turn enemy damage Nerf over Time effect. Starts at -25(-30/-35) and decreases by 8 per turn. (-25 -> -17 -> -9 -> -1 -> expired)
BS CD=2 Effect based on how many hits connected. 5 hits - Buffs Boost by 20(25/30) for 2 turns. 3-4 hits - Buffs Boost by 10(15/20) for 2 turns. 1-2 hits - Buffs Bonus by 20(25/30) for 2 turns. 0 hits - Buffs Bonus by 40(45/50) for 2 turns.

In other news I did a few more revamps for Lagos. Robina's shops will have a bunch of higher level items for you guys. Hopefully that will tide you all over since I've done about all I can for right now. I'll revisit the planet in the future but I need to focus on some new stuff. Greetings! As some of you know I've been messing around with new effects. Welp, I came up with one that is really powerful. It's not just powerful, it pretty much laughs at your opponent. Because of that I built it into a new mech and we're going to let you all have it for a limited time. Now it does have a low chance to activate instead of the normal effect, but when it happens it does some really cool stuff. Since I was given an assignment to create a powerful mech I decided to use the idea and convert the rest of the mech around it. Being all fancy and such I came up with an in-game reason for it.
The Nubertron mech is a basic mech many of you are familiar with. It's an alright mech to start off with but it was the perfect test bed for a new power core. This core is a prototype of my own design and is way more powerful then anything I would normally let pilot's take out and use. (Even if you have saved the universe a few times.) I usually wait till I've fixed the power spikes and damage jumps before releasing it, but in this case I just couldn't resist letting you all play around with my prototype.
My creation is called the "Ultra Broad-ranging Energy Recovery core" or "U.B.E.R. Core" for short. This core usually only gives you a fairly large boost to mech HP recovery, granting a random amount of health back to you. This prototype can instead, very rarely, interface with your opponent and actually steal its HP and EP while giving YOUR HP and EP to the opponent. It's very random and the effect could make things really bad if it triggers when the opponent has less health then you, but it could also be amazing if you're down to almost nothing and the enemy is near full.
Like I said, it's a prototype and a lot stronger then any other future versions I make will be, but it's a powerful piece of tech I know that you can use. The core has one other side effect. It's increased the damage and effects off all the other built in weapons. It won't boost the damage of non-built in weapons but it does grant a hefty bonus to the current ones.
That sounded like an NPC explaining something in game but it makes it sound cooler to hear it like that sometimes.
In other news, last week you'll remember that I tweaked some of the Lagos mechs and equipment. Some of you mentioned that those mechs didn't really seem to have a theme after that. They made convincing arguments and showed the pro's and con's of what each mech could have done so I went ahead and redid them along with a few other mechs. All these re-tweaks, along with the tweaks to the Navigator series, the Shadowed Arthurian Lion series, AND the basic Bunzilla's will come tonight after I've had some time to take care of a few more things. I'll be posting a list of all the changes and effects in the DN thread in the MQ General Discussion area of the forums as soon as I get done with it and they are live.
I know I also said I'd revamp some weapons. The problem is some of the weapons were supposed to go rare a while ago. That's why once you get to a certain part in the war you no longer have access to some shops. Right now I'm waiting to hear back about if they are alright to revamp and make a shop button for them in the Lagos War finale screen so you all can always access them, or if they are meant to be war rares that got lost in the shuffle. Once I know, I'll be able to proceed.

Greetings! As you may have noticed if you follow me on Twitter or visit the forums (you should visit them!) I asked what planet you all wanted a revamp of. The answer was a resounding, "LAGOS!"* So, being the nice guy that I am, I went to work revamping some of the stuff from there. The planet has a bunch of stuff so I had to split the work up between adding stuff for the Easter re-release and getting the Earth Day items ready. Right now if you visit the Hideout you'll find some new levels of the mechs in the Anchorman and Wolf shops as well as more levels of items in the weapons shop. I haven't forgotten about the Build A Mech models or the Pirate weapons and all that good stuff. That will all come next week!** I'll be doing other planets and other places in the future as well so be on the lookout for my next poll of what people want! Enjoy these and the Easter Release! Maypril is coming! The f001 mecha really doesn't want you to use a body attack, so we've been in a long wrestling match with him. Ash & blues have worked out some specials to make this model worth the wait. Will it be ready on Maypril (May the 1st)? Or will we release it without the body attack and fix it later? Who will win? We are very dogged and determined, so you should not be disappointed, whatever happens. And wait - there's more... Part Two of the April Fool mission will finally open for you!

Greetings! As the whole MQ team is now aware it's dangerous to let me write stuff for releases. I volunteered to work on this release and wrote a script. All of us had a bunch of ideas and I tried to put as many of them into this. It had a LOT of stuff in it, like a LOT of new art stuff that had to be made and bunches of dialog. Lyris did an amazing job on the new backgrounds and some of the assets and Plasma worked on something cool for the second part. Mae also deserves major props for spending a LOT of time making the rest of the backgrounds and art assets and especially for building the whole quest and making it work. (Thanks again Mae!) Part 1 is live now and Part 2 will be out as soon as it's ready.

LepreScythe Mech This mech cannot equip any items. BUT to make up for that they have been "equipped" with Luck and Accuracy stats. The NG version even gets a bit of Power. Now you can't be "disarmed" by enemies and lose your ability to attack with the NSC/SC models! NSC and SC versions have a Body attack. This button chooses randomly between the two attacks.NG versions are able to pick which attack they want.
Attack 1 (Claw Slash)1 Hit Inflicts 1x HP DoT that lasts for the entire battle. Dot increases per use and caps at x3. Inflicts 1x EP DoT that lasts for the entire battle. Gianna Glow is the 'chief tracker' for MQ, and she's got a few tips on how to tailor your reports for MechQuest:
A general form pops up, with fields to fill in.
Username: put character ID and character name here Server: put location of bug here in a "planet"-"city" format
"That alone would be a HUGE help," she says.
Before submitting your report, it would be wonderful if you would: restart browser, clear cache and history, and try to duplicate the bug you're reporting. If you can describe the steps to take to make the bug happen, it will help us figure out how to fix it!

Ash, who has been learning to code and is now helping me with database work, has been working on updating some of our older weapons with higher level versions and a few new specials! This week we had updates to the House shops at G.E.A.R.S, and here's Ash to tell you about them:
House Shop Updates
Wolfblade- New levels of the WM series arm weapons.- New levels of the WR series shoulder weapons.- New levels and specials on the Spit Fire series! If the attack hits it nerfs the stun resistance of your enemy by 15/30/45 (NSC/SC/NG) and attempts to stun it for 1 turn.- New NSC/SC/NG permanent mods! NSC up to level 48 and SC and NG versions that reach level 50!

Speaking of Gremlins... A new bug reporting system is being perfected, and we'd like you to check it out. (They're now called "bugs," but they'll always be "Gremlins" to me!)
Richy the Rich Guy In Town! The "Possible Riches" mission is available NOW - one of the students standing somewhere on Soluna City's Main Street wants to offer you a challenge. The location of that student may change, so be sure to walk East and West to find him or her. You will battle a variety of students in your mecha, with a chance to encounter Richy the Rich Guy.
Because it was nearly impossible to find him when this mission was introduced, this weekend we have a LIMITED TIME SPECIAL:
Saturday, February 15th from 11 AM until 2 PM (Server Time) you will have an EXCELLENT chance to face Richy the Rich Guy in your "Possible Riches" missions! There will be only three possible enemies in the last battle and each one has an equal chance to be your opponent. This means that the probability of facing Richy the Rich Guy is 1/3 instead of 1/64! So don't forget to log in during the LIMITED TIME SPECIAL, and tell your friends, too!
Also February 15th (available NOW) is Blues' birthday! Happy Birthday, Blues! Get your Blues' Tech Blade (specially created by Minar) in the birthday shop button in Soluna Main to celebrate the occasion!

Brickity! These Back Arm weapons might remind you of Lego (TM) pieces, but they are made of brightly-colored bricks. The specials team up together to make all the things awesome! Here's blues with the details:
- 150% damage
- chooses 1 out of the following specials, they stay til end of fight all together. No special can happen 2 times. Once a DoT is applied it increases its damage by 50% every turn caps at 250%!
- special list:
- Normal HP DoT, +50 BtH for weapon only
- Normal EP DoT, +25 def
- immores reduce by 80 and try to stun
- heals HP by 50% of damage done
- reduces enemy EP to 50% of current value and damages enemy HP with 50% of normal damage

Richy the Rich Kid? I asked on twitter & on the forums, and so far I haven't heard about anyone running into him yet. I'm thinking about tweaking his encounter rate. Should the better chance to find him be a Star-Captain-Exclusive feature? Soluna City is getting a bit of a cleanup. The 'replay the past' quests for Friday the 13th and Turkageddon have gone rare until their seasons come around again. The Epic Limited shops are no longer displayed; those weapons are being replaced with their less-powerful permanent versions over the next few weeks.

Back Arm Giftbox is now fixed: it was displaying an unwrapped present from a year in the past.
We customarily unwrap these at the turn of the New Year, but this year we are shifting the date to the first full week of the New Year. This means you still have time to upgrade to Star Captain if you have not already, and pick up your free giftbox weapons!

WAR! This was originally to be the Practel vs. Korin war, and it is undergoing some design modifications. Here's a note from Practel
I've been lurking the forums for some time and feel like I owe you guys an explanation to the Practel vs. Korin war. To get right to the point, the PvK war in its current state will not be released. Instead, another war will occur in its place. While I'm confident you guys will enjoy the new war, I hesitate to release information about it at this time. I believe part of the issue with the PvK war was that I announced it and hyped it far too early. A war is a huge project to undertake, and it was a mistake for me to want to do most of it by myself. While I genuinely wanted it to be a learning experience, I did not realize the amount of work it would take to make a great war. Furthermore, launching a huge-scale project only 2 weeks before school started for myself and some other team members was a big mistake. I couldn't commit to the project, which as a result, delayed it indefinitely.
While I know a few of you may know this, 2 months ago I left all of my Artix Entertainment responsibilities to focus on my school work as well as pursue new experiences and opportunities within the video game industry. I left Artix Entertainment and the MechQuest team with full support from my co-workers. Our team leader, Maegwyn, fully supported my decision and stressed that school must always come first. I miss the team a whole lot - they are a great group of people, and I'm extraordinarily happy I was able to work with them for so long - but I worked as a volunteer at AE for 2 years, and it was time for a change. I suppose I should have offered this explanation 2 months ago instead of now.
The team is a group of extremely talented people, and I know for a fact that they have some great ideas that they are excited to share with you guys soon. While the team may be small, they are full of ambition and desire and will get the job done.
I suppose I'll see you guys around later on, but if not, Battle On!
